Oral Health

The demands of pregnancy can lead to particular dental problems in some women. Visiting a dentist while pregnant is highly recommended for your own wellbeing and that of your unborn child. With proper hygiene at home and professional help from your dentist, your teeth should remain healthy throughout pregnancy. Routine dental treatment is safe during pregnancy, although some procedures or medication should be avoided in the first 3 months, so be sure to tell your dentist you are pregnant.

If you have any concerns or questions about the health of your teeth or gums or the health effects of dental treatment, speak to your dentist, doctor or midwife for professional advice.
