We all know that getting enough sleep during pregnancy is important, but that doesn't make it easy to do! You may notice you need more sleep than usual during the first trimester of your pregnancy. It isn't surprising that your body will feel tired, as it is working hard to nourish your developing baby. Finding a comfy sleeping position can become more difficult as your baby (and you!) grows in size. Doctors recommend you sleep on your side to increase blood flow and nutrients to the placenta and your baby.1 Putting a pillow between your legs or under your belly can help.
